  • How do I order branded chalkboards?
    We can brand all of our products. Reach out to us with your branding requirements, and we'll provide a quote. Proofs for all artwork requests are provided before printing. We handle all branding and design in-house, ensuring competitive costs. For best results, supply artwork as vectorized/outlined PDF, EPS, or AI formats. For raster formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF), ensure a resolution of at least 300dpi. Note: Artwork from Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or other text-based packages may incur a redesign fee or require resubmission in a suitable format. Contact us for advice on artwork submission.
  • Is your wood FSC approved?
    All our wood is from FSC approved suppliers, and certification can be provided if needed.
  • Has my order gone through?
    If your order is successful you will receive an automated email confirmation (Please check your Spam folders and make sure you have typed your email address correctly), as well as an order success message on screen. If not, please get in touch with us and we'll look into this for you as soon as possible.
  • What is the best way to clean a chalkboard?
    For most chalk residue, use a damp cloth with household window cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners as they can damage the surface. For stubborn stains, use our Magic Cleaning Sponge: 1. Apply a small amount of water to the sponge. 2. Lightly squeeze to remove excess water. 3. Use circular motions to clean. Our sponges are safe and effective with just water.
  • Can I talk to a real person?
    Yes! We are real. We have a sales team on hand to help you with any queries.   • How do I cancel or amend my order?
    Please call +44 (0)1384 445844 or email us at sales@porterandwoodman.co.uk as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or amend your order. This cannot be done online.
  • How can I unsubscribe from your mailing list?
    To unsubscribe from our email list, simply click the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any email we send. For removal from our postal mailing list, please email us at sales@porterandwoodman.co.uk.
  • What’s the largest chalkboard available?
    We can produce chalkboards up to 2440 x 1220mm or 8ft x 4ft. Delivery isn't always straightforward with larger sizes, so get in touch with us to discuss your options.
  • Is the print set up fee charged again if we want a re-print using the same artwork?
    We only have a limited number of print screens, so after each production run our screens need washing off so they can be reused. Therefore, a print set up fee will need to be applied again when ordering any re-prints.
  • What are the lead times for printed chalkboards?
    We usually advise a delivery time-frame of 2-3 weeks from payment and approval of artwork. During certain times of the year this can be slightly longer, however just let us know if you have a specific time-frame, and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.
  • Is there a MOQ?
    There are no minimum order quantities for any of our standard items, but the more you order, the cheaper it works out. For bespoke items, get in touch with one of our sales team, or use the Request-a-Quote feature.
  • Are your chalkboards magnetic?
    No, we don't currently have any magnetic boards in our range, as they tend to 'shadow' and don't actually end up being any good as a chalkboard.
  • Can I specify a delivery date?
    Yes, you can specify a delivery date. Add your requirements in the 'additional information' section during checkout, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • Can you deliver outside of the UK?
    The goalposts have changed somewhat in recent years, so it's not a simple 'Yes'. However, just get in touch with us and we'll provide you with a quote depending on your delivery location.
  • Where can you deliver to?
    We can deliver to any address on the UK Mainland at the prices quoted within the basket section of the site. We cannot deliver to PO boxes and BFPO addresses. For any queries or offshore delivery requests - please get in touch with one of our sales team.
  • What happens if I'm not home during delivery?
    If you're not home during delivery, a card will be left with collection or redelivery details. Items may be left in a safe place or with a neighbor, but this isn't guaranteed. Contact our sales team for tracking details if needed.
  • How can I check if my order has been delivered?
    We can track delivery items for you if you haven't received a tracking text or email. Simply contact us and we'll help you as best we can.
